It's true! All replacement nylon gears common to Chamberlain Liftmaster Operators are not the same.

The gear on the left is a genuine Liftmaster part. It will be identified with a LM part number. The clone on the right seems to be more plastic than nylon and is not identified in any way. The plastic material seems to be more brittle and more susceptible to cracking than the genuine part. We use only genuine Liftmaster Parts.
